Process Improvement Parts 2 & 3
Process Analysis, Improvement, and Redesign teaches you to look at processes from various perspectives, which we call “lenses of analysis.” Each lens reveals aspects of the process that are working or not. The lenses are customer satisfaction, worker frustration, time, cost, quality, and waste. As you discover problems and issues, some obvious measures can be created that either eliminate or shrink the problem. Popular methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Activity Based Costing are highlighted.
Many of the issues that you find will link to process design principles. These principles are distilled best practices from world class organizations. The principles will greatly assist you in creating new “to be” or future state processes that are extremely fast, with high quality, low cost, and without staff frustration.
